Be present at the sites where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared the the three shepherd children in Fatima and to St. Bernadette in Lourdes. Walk in the footsteps of St. Teresa of Avila and St. Ignatius of Loyola, visit the birthplace of St. Anthony of Padua. Father Kirk will offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass daily on this once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage!

July 13 – Monday – Day 1: USA – Lisbon
Depart USA for Lisbon, Portugal. Overnight flight with dinner and drinks aloft.
July 14 – Tuesday – Day 2: Lisbon – Fatima
Arrive in Lisbon where will be met by our guide and bus driver. Time permitting, we enjoy a tour of Lisbon to include the church of St Anthony, marking the birth place of St Anthony where we celebrate Mass, subject to confirmation, followed a short walk of Lisbon old town, before we proceed to see Belem Tower (exterior view), monument of discoveries and St Jeronimos Monastery (exterior view). Lunch on your own. We depart for Fatima to our hotel in Fatima for dinner and overnight. For those who wish, you may join in the nightly Candlelight Procession at the Sanctuary. (D) Please note: The schedule on this day is subject to change depending on flight details. We will do what time allows based on our arrival time or we will head directly to Fatima.
July 15 – Wednesday – Day 3: Fatima
At the center of Catholic faith and a place of world pilgrimage, Fatima is visited by thousands of people each year. We will visit the Basilica or Our Lady of the Rosary where the tombs of Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta, the three children who were visited by Our Lady of Fatima, are located, Holy Trinity Church, as well as the Chapel of Apparitions. We will celebrate Holy Mass, subject to confirmation, and visit the Fatima Sanctuary, where Our Lady of Fatima appeared in 1917. We continue on to Aljustrel where the children lived, and Valinhos where Our Lady appeared after the children’s return from prison. Lunch on your own. Afternoon is free until dinner at our hotel. We then return to the Sanctuary for the Candlelight Procession. Overnight in Fatima. (B, D)
July 16 – Thursday – Day 4: Fatima – Alba de Tormes – Avila
After breakfast we depart to Avila. Lunch on your own en-route. This afternoon we visit Alba de Tormes, where St Teresa died and was buried. Visit the shrine and museum seeing the relics of St Teresa. Mass at the shrine. Proceed to Avila for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
July 17 – Friday – Day 5: Avila – Madrid – Avila
Following Mass this morning in Avila, subject to confirmation, we depart for Madrid, where upon our arrival, we enjoy an orientation tour of Spain’s capital that will include a visit to the city’s Almudena Cathedral as well as the Royal Palace (from outside). From here we arrive at the Plaza Mayor, the main square in Madrid, where we enjoy some free time for shopping and lunch, on your own, in Madrid. We bid Madrid farewell and go back to Avila for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
July 18 – Saturday – Day 6: Avila – Burgos
After breakfast and check out we visit Avila surrounded by the 11th century walls did not change so much since the time of Santa Teresa, the first woman to be named Doctor of the Church and to whom the city is dedicated. During our visit to Ávila we will visit the Convento of St Teresa marking her birthplace, Monastery of the Incarnation where St Teresa lived for 30 years and experienced profound mystical vision. Visit the Monastery Museum followed by Mass. (Subject to confirmation). Depart for Burgos. This afternoon we visit Burgos Cathedral the only Cathedral in Spain on the UNESCO list not as part of historical city, marvel at the view of the Cathedral dominated by its 15 chapels to include the stunning chapel of St Enrique featuring the Ecce Homo Statue. Check into hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
July 19 – Sunday – Day 7: Burgos – Loyola – Lourdes
After breakfast we depart to Loyola birth place of St Ignatius of Loyola. We celebrate Mass in Loyola, subject to confirmation. Depart for Lourdes en route we stop for lunch on our own. This evening we arrive in Lourdes the city that commemorates the 18 apparitions of the Blessed Virgin to St Bernadette Soubirous. Check into our hotel for dinner and overnight. For those who wish, you may join in the nightly Candlelight Procession at the Sanctuary (B, D)
July 20 – Monday – Day 8: Lourdes
We start the day with Mass at the Shrine, subject to confirmation. Enjoy a guided walking tour of Lourdes. Our guide will share with us the history of the Marian apparitions that appeared to St. Bernadette Soubirous. We will visit the places where the apparitions occurred in 1858, among them three basilicas, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, the Rosary Basilica and the Basilica of St. Pius X, respectively known as the upper, lower and underground basilica. Tonight we join the Pilgrims in Candlelight procession (B, D)
July 21 – Tuesday – Day 9: Lourdes
Today we will celebrate Holy Mass, followed by water gesture where we drink and wash with water. The water gesture reflects what our Lady said, “Go and drink from the spring”. The remainder of the day is free for your own personal prayer and devotions. Dinner and Overnight Lourdes. Tonight we join the Pilgrims in Candlelight procession (B, D)
Please note: The Water Gesture full bathing is not open yet for group reservation. This could be done online as individuals or line up in Lourdes to have the opportunity to bath. (This could change by the time we travel.)
July 22 – Wednesday – Day 10: Depart Lourdes for a local airport for our return trip to home.
